My party of 8 was in the shuttle from the parking lot to the entrance of Disney World on Memorial Day weekend. We were finally here!! Months of planning had gone into this trip. Four women, all single mothers, with my children & 2 others were about to purchase tickets to the “happiest place on earth” if you could believe the ads.
A picture ID was required to purchase tickets. We all had a one day free ticket to the park because of the Disney Give-a-Day, Get-a-Day program.
I had budgeted about $800 dollars for other tickets needed for the other 2 days we planned to visit. For some reason, I pulled out my military dependent ID. Honestly, I never use it unless I’m going on base, but that day I did.
A nice young man named Virgil was helping us at the ticket counter. Now math is NOT my strong suit, & the noise was deafening because of the crowd. He explained that a 4 day ticket would be the best deal. Noting my ID he stated there was a special military discount for Memorial Day & adding in our free tickets, it would be $145.
I must have looked like a deer caught in headlights. I can’t do math in head on my best day, but I knew this was more than $800. Still 4 days at the park for $145/person sounded like a pretty good deal.
You just have to imagine our faces when reality set in that the price was $145 TOTAL! Amazing!!
Virgil must have wondered why we had tears in their eyes in this, the “happiest place on Earth,” but there just wasn’t time to tell him all the incredible things that God wrought for us.
There is coming a day for all to either GAIN or be DENIED entrance to the happiest of ALL places. That place is Heaven. The price of access has already been paid by the Savior, Jesus Christ. It is a FREE gift to all those who believe that He died for their sins on the cross & rose again. I sure hope to see YOU there!
Romans 10: 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
