Nailed It

Nailed It

I enjoy looking at Pintrest online.  If you are unfamiliar with this website, it is like having a never-ending magazine filled with pictures of things you are interested in.  I can spend a LOT of time just looking at neat stuff other people have done.  It actually inspires me to try some of those things myself!

One night, my daughter Emily introduced me to a website of Pinterest “fails” with the tongue-in -cheek phrase under the attempt that says “Nailed It!”

They obviously hadn’t!!  Em & I howled over the pictures posted!!

There were also (quote /unquote) “helpful” comments from others on just what was done wrong & how the person could have fixed it!

I have empathy for those folks who are honest enough to admit to the world that they just couldn’t get something right….& a sneaky desire to pinch those who just can’t suppress the urge to tell you how YOU could have done it better.

Spiritually speaking, Jesus is the ONLY one I should emulate.  It’s a danger to put even the godliest person I know on a pedestal!!  WE are to be godly examples, but we should be transparent in our failings. I will never get it all right or respond rightly every time.  My human side wars with the Holy Spirit who lives in the heart of this believer.

The bible says in 1 Peter 4:8 that we are to love others & that love covers a multitude of sins.  His love indwelling in me, & shown to others glorifies (or points to) God.

Christ alone NAILED IT once & for all on a cross over 2000 years ago.  His perfect act of love covers our sin.  He is the ONLY way to the Father. He doesn’t call us to be perfect.  He calls us to trust Him for salvation.  HE will equip us to love God, love others, & share the gospel.

1 Peter 4:8
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Confectionately Yours,

Sue
