Here We Go Again

Here We Go Again

I recorded the 200th segment of Confectionately Yours this month.  I am still in awe of how the Lord opened this door seven years ago.  I was one year into “this widow thing” as I call it.

I learned SO MUCH that first year!

1.-Grief is a process that has NO timetable.  It is unique to you-your personality, attitude, and those things that trigger sadness for you will be different for each of us.

2.-The second year was harder than the first in many ways. (I was surprised at this.)

3.-(and most important) I sought a more personal relationship with God than I ever had before.  (Draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh unto you.)  He sure did!

4.-Setting some goals when the initial shock wore off was helpful to give purpose and a reason to get up in the morning.
Some of mine were a well planned trip with my kids and some single mom friends, reading through the Bible (it took 18 months for me), a kitchen remodel in a new home, and purposeful downsizing of stuff I no longer needed. (THIS is an ongoing process!)

This weeks segments begin at the beginning.  The links are below.

Thank you for taking the time to stop in.
